Tesla Model X vs Range Rover – Which is the Better Value?

The Model X is a fantastic vehicle, even Jeremy Clarkson thinks so.
But how does it stack up against the gold standard in high-end SUVs, the Range Rover? Let’s find out. – Get these updates via email https://teslanomics.co/join

The Land Rover Range Rover (generally known simply as a Range Rover) is a full-sized luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) from Land Rover, a marque of Jaguar Land Rover. Launched back in 1970 the Range Rover has been a symbol of luxury for nearly two generations.

The newer style of the Range Rover still maintains that classic look but with a modern feel.

Over the years the Range Rover has garnered, it’s fair share of criticism about the expensive maintenance and environmental impact of an SUV getting less than 20mpg / 8.5kpl

While the Range Rover does come in many varieties, some with really cool styling options, for this comparison we’ll be looking at the Range Rover Supercharged.”

Now, of course, we’re all familiar with the Model X, Tesla’s SUV with those marvelous Falcon wing doors…okay maybe they’re not for everybody, but still pretty cool…

The Model X comes in several seating arrangements and offers gobs of storage including a frunk space for smaller items.

Another pretty surprising feature of the Model X is that it’s the only SUV to ever achieve a 5-star safety rating in every crash test rating. The only one. This is the safest SUV you can buy, amazing!

Now the Model X isn’t without its issues either, namely those falcon wing doors which have loads of sensors that tend to squeak or malfunction. I’ve heard this can be a pain but Tesla is acutely aware of the problem and in ever case, I’ve heard of will fix it relatively quickly.

The Model X also comes in different flavors, but for this comparison, we’ll be looking at a 100D which is similarly priced to the Range Rover

Considering these are both high-end SUVs your typical buyer here is going to be a family that needs the space and can afford it or a business looking to shuttle people around. In either scenario, I think it’s important to see what the true cost of ownership would be between these two.
